Our story
Built on the care she couldn't find.
Dr. McCormick started PrecisionMD because she couldn't find the kind of care she needed herself. She knew she wasn't feeling well enough to live the life she wanted, but her concerns didn't fit neatly into a typical doctor's visit. She wanted a physician who would take her seriously, speak up for her, and stay involved in figuring out the next step. And she didn't want to give up evidence-based medicine just to feel heard.
She knew she wasn't the only one looking for that kind of care, so she opened PrecisionMD in 2023 to provide it. Weight and hormone care became the heart of the practice because they met real needs in our community. The purpose has always been broader: careful listening, sound medical judgment, and ongoing support, so you can feel better and live more fully.
With clinics in Decatur and Madison and telehealth across Alabama, that care is close wherever you are.

Led by Dr. Traci McCormick.
Dr. McCormick is triple board-certified in Obesity Medicine, Lifestyle Medicine, and Radiation Oncology, with additional training in obesity and lifestyle medicine through Harvard and Columbia. Before founding PrecisionMD in 2023, she spent nearly 20 years in radiation oncology, caring for thousands of patients, including many women with breast cancer. That background shapes how she practices: careful with hormones and guided by evidence.
