Thyroid Treatment

Evaluation and treatment for an underactive thyroid, guided by a full thyroid panel, not just TSH, and careful follow-up.

Signs your thyroid may be slowing you down

Your thyroid helps control your metabolism. When it's underactive, you may notice:

  • Fatigue that doesn't improve with rest
  • Weight gain or trouble losing weight
  • Feeling cold when others are comfortable
  • Brain fog or trouble focusing
  • Low mood
  • Dry skin or thinning hair
  • Constipation

Many of these symptoms overlap with hormone changes, insulin resistance, and low testosterone. That's why we test instead of guessing.

Why we run a full thyroid panel, not just TSH

A TSH level can look normal while free T3 and free T4 tell a different story. Many patients come to us after being told their thyroid is fine based on TSH alone. We look at the full panel, alongside your hormone and metabolic labs, so your plan is built on the whole picture.

How we treat thyroid problems

If your labs and symptoms point to an underactive thyroid, your provider will talk through your options, including thyroid medication when it's appropriate. We start with a careful dose, recheck your labs, and adjust until you feel like yourself again.

If your results point to a condition that needs a specialist, we'll tell you and help you find the right next step.

Thyroid, weight, and hormones

A sluggish thyroid can make weight loss harder and leave you tired even when you're doing everything right. Because we also treat weight and hormones, we can see how these pieces fit together and build one coordinated plan.
