Zepbound in Decatur, AL

Zepbound (tirzepatide) is an FDA-approved weekly injection that acts on two hormone pathways, GLP-1 and GIP, to reduce appetite and support your metabolism.

How Zepbound works

Zepbound is a once-weekly injection that acts on two natural hormone pathways:

  • GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1): Reduces appetite, increases satiety, and stabilizes blood sugar
  • GIP (glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide): Improves insulin sensitivity and enhances the body’s ability to process food efficiently

This dual action makes Zepbound one of the most powerful weight loss medications currently available.

Benefits of Zepbound

Patients using Zepbound often experience:

  • Significant weight loss that continues over time
  • Reduced appetite and fewer cravings
  • Improved blood sugar control and metabolic health
  • Lower risk of conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, and high blood pressure

Who is a candidate for Zepbound?

You may qualify for Zepbound if you:

  • Have a BMI of 27 or higher with weight-related conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, or PCOS
  • Have a BMI of 30 or higher even without other medical concerns
  • Have moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnea, even in the absence of obesity
  • Struggle with appetite, cravings, or weight regain after dieting
  • Have a high body fat percentage or an increased waist circumference that places you at higher health risk, even if your BMI is considered normal
